Our restaurant is in the heart of Testaccio. The photographs, pictures and memories on the walls tell the story of our connection to Rome and to the people who have spent time at our tables.

Since 1979, Bucatino has been part of Testaccio. Our name belongs on a plate of pasta, on the sign outside and on the red lettering of the bib: familiar details that connect the meal to the place.
Look around the dining rooms and you will find photographs, wine bottles, stone arches and memories of visitors. They are part of the experience, alongside the recipes you came to taste.
Beyond our door, Testaccio tells an older story: amphora fragments at Monte dei Cocci, the neighbourhood square and the former Mattatoio, now also home to contemporary culture.
